Biodiversity declines are costing human societies in the order of trillions of dollars annually of lost benefits, with species losses amounting to the sixth mass extinction in the planet’s history. The TechnEcology network, in partnerships with environmental agencies, NGOs and industry, aims to play its role in reversing these losses by linking people to nature through new technologies.

The TechnEcology approach is to leverage a range of new technologies to monitor nature, including engaging citizen scientists and evaluating the benefits for conservation, health and well-being.
